Nativity Scene Routes in Málaga: A Christmas Tradition with Andalusian Soulz

In addition to its famous Christmas lights, Málaga hides a lesser-known but deeply rooted treasure: its nativity scene routes. Throughout December, churches, brotherhoods, cultural associations, and public institutions open their doors to showcase true miniature works of art that depict the birth of Jesus.

From traditional nativity scenes with baroque-style figurines to living representations and versions with local Andalusian touches, the city offers a charming tour for both adults and children. Highlights include the nativity scenes at the City Hall, the Cathedral, the Carmen Thyssen Museum, and those meticulously crafted by brotherhoods such as El Sepulcro and El Rocío.
